Quinn Robbins is a regular teenage girl. Friends, a job, and maybe even a boyfriend. Ah, I just want to tell you everything about these fun books... but I think you should read them and find out for yourself. A great series of books, The Dusk Gate Chronicles, includes 7 fun adventures about Quinn Robbins and her adventures in another world. These books are entertaining and I couldn't stop reading them! I read all 7 books in about two weeks, which is pretty good for a full time teacher. The last four I read in about 3 days during spring break. While you could read all the books independently, I couldn't do it. I had to read them one after another because I just HAD to know what happened next.
Puttroff does a great job creating characters that you, as a reader, care about. Her world is well developed and interesting. Although it is sometimes predictable and the writing is not perfect, I thought it was a great series. Quinn, the main character, learns a lot about family, love, and courage as she navigates two worlds and discovers who she is and what she wants. Throughout the books she and the other characters have to make decisions between what is easy and what is right.
